» The search for the "Forbidden Planet"

Oh...boy! You can find anything on the internet. You just gotta look hard enough. I was looking for some production posters from the 1956 film: Forbidden Planet. I thought they would make great wall decorations, framed somewhere in my living room. Mr. Michael Heilemann already bothered to arquive over 70 production stills mostly 4x6s - not great printing resolution though. As I looked deeper into the vast files of the World Wide Web, I found a perfect...brilliant and somewhat disturbing picture of Leslie Nielsen as Commander Adams. The original is for sale for $60.00 bucks. Not bad, but I think I'll stick with my $0.89 cents color copy.

» Who the hell is Mike Furir?

No one really knows who Mike is. But a lot of people hate him these days. Mike is a nasty...nasty blog spammer. Thousands of blogs worldwide (including mine) have been commented by Mike. A few years back, spammers began to take advantage of the open nature of comments in blogging software like Movable Type and Blogger by repeatedly placing comments to various blog posts that provided nothing more than a link to the spammer's commercial web site. You see, when someone adds links that point to their web site(s)...(like on your blog comments for example), the links increase the page rankings for the spammer's site on Google. Of course Mike himself does not spend his time posting comments individually. His spamming is done automatically by another computer...something called "Spamdexing".

Ok. So all this is great. Fine right? There is one problem though. Mike's links go nowhere. It's absurd! Pointless freaking spamming. Like me, there are others who (for really good reasons) want to kill Mr. Furir:

Mike Furir Sucks
Mike Furir is a big fucking idiot
Die Mike Furir

Anyway, Mike Furir is a moron. Period. Oh, and I'm gonna fuck him up pretty bad one of this days.
