» PondPatrol.com - The acclaimed internet series #3

If there was something I liked about school, even college, it was building dioramas. I used to hate a certain guy called "Rafael" because he would build better maquettes than I through college. Now I'm over 30, no longer in school, but I still find reasons to do one of the most enjoyable hobbies to ever exist (in my opnion).

This will be one of the main campsites for PondPatrol. I figured if I keep things together, it would be easier to get motivated every week to update the new site. I'm having trouble with lighting still. I think I will need to get a much subtle light bulb.

» 100th POST

Can you believe it? This is my 100th post in my new home (site). YEAH!!!! Just crazy. Honestly that's kind of lame considering the year has 365 days... funny thing is that I was wondering when Zerogerman.com was gonna make a year of existence...which I caught just in time: September 13. Here is my first post: Mama mia, ragazzo! It feels like it was yesterday. For those who don't know, I was posting way before that at Blogger under Zerogerman, too. A bit crude and somehow the wording got out of control after I left Blogger for Movabletype.

Anyway, I have to come up with something for the birthday. I'm thinking...paper craft...

» Modern Noise

The weekend is over. We played a fairly decent show last night. The turnout wasn't as great, though. Sometimes I wonder who schedules a show at 7:30PM on a Sunday night...oh well. In another note, the "UBisububi Room" (St. Mark's Coffee House New addition)is starting to look great. We have a Indonesian feel for the place, including bamboo wall coverings and cute hand-painted seats. The existence of this new performing room is out and I think we're going to do pretty well.

» Mr. George Toninelo

Last night at the Ramada Inn, near Colfax and Marion St. we attended the birthday party of Andrew Romanoff, our Speaker of the House straight from the State Capitol. What was I doing there? I'm not even sure. But I felt like trying out my different hair with a different name:

» Reptile Breeders' Show Part 1

The Colorado Herptological Society is presenting next month, the 17th of Sept. It's 9th Annual Breeders' Show and Sale. I could not be more happy. Infact I have a feeling I may come back from the show with a "new turtle". But I'm prepared way ahead of schedule:

I picked up this tank at a Thrifty Store sometime this summer. Only $20.00 bucks for a 45 gallon breeder tank. What a score. But in the mean time, I got bored and played with my hair:

It was a very productive day. I left the "Villa" about noon and headed downtown for my first real photo shoot as a photographer. The shot above is not even the best one. In fact, that is one crappy shot, since I don't want to spoil the launching of the new site. The models weren't a problem at all, but the passers-by (public), who could not help to stop and ask what the hell I was doing.

» My babe is gone

So Jenny went down to Texas, for Amber's wedding. At first, I thought: TIME ALONE, GREAT! Well, I got that right. I feel lonely for the first time in ages, even if I'm home (we live in separated houses believe or not), I know she's right there...right by me, ten feet away. I got bored tonight. I went to the only decent bar in the neighborhood: The Arabian (say what?), ran by Mexicans, with a bunch of "Italian Songs" in the jukebox. Now add to that a Brazilian. There's nothing like Cole Porter sometimes.

I've been busy. Busy not writing on my blog, I should say. But I want to make somewhat official that I'll be lunching a new website pretty soon. It's going to be a novel/weblog. A weekly updated adventure story about a group of people stuck somewhere in the US doing some dirty work, which no one wants to do. Not even them...The characters have already been written and I have the right people to play them. Check back soon.

» About time for some tea and crackers

We were fortunate enough to be at DC Gallery this Friday, for a Denver opening show of Jeff Soto, a Southern California based artist/illustator. One of my favorite contemporary pop artists, not mentioning Marc Gabbana or Jon Foster or even Shag. The thing here is: you gotta like some robots and playful coloring Science Fiction themed art. Best part: I got me a autographed copy of Potato Stamp Dreams:
