April 22, 2005» More and more, someday rest galore...
We started constructing the garden beds yesterday afternoon. Zakk and Harlan came to help us, since as you know railroad ties weigh quite a bit. Even the freaking cat (Seven):
He set in one of the logs for hours just watching. The funniest thing. I swear, he thinks he's part human or something. Here is a better picture of the digging project for the pond:
I should be getting the liner, pump and lots of rocks next week. But I believe the most important part of the pond is already done. I closed a deal with a gentleman from PA, who belongs to the same Turtle Forum I do. Two pair of Westerns (Painted). Look how cute they are:
I really can't wait to get things done around here anymore. Photos from the show last night are up. Even Miss Luccy came to see us. It was terrific. » posted at

April 20, 2005» I'll miss you Grandma...
To the super lady that made me special sandwiches at SENAI's school cafeteria, to the wonderful pasteis and torteis, to the stories, to the cans of condensed milk and brand new socks, to the sweet noisy kisses on my cheeks...Man, what happened to time? Goodbye. Sleep tight. » posted at

April 19, 2005» Lipan Battlegrounds
While floors are being re-finished, tiles are being put down, our front yard starts to take shape: of a post nuclear attack. Ok, it's not that bad at all...I finished digging the pond finally. I need to learn how to built a homemade water filter for it, though. Perhaps two Rubbermaids, one filled with rocks, and the other with cheese cloth and sponges. That's why Google exists...I suppose. Jena planted some plum threes, pear threes and I think a cherry one, too. Also planted is the new buffalo grass under the mulberry three. Someday this place is going to look good (wink!). Although Denver is a big city, people tent to live in groups, like, they go to the same grocery store every week, same bar, same friends...so it's no surprise that I keep being congratulated for my wedding, by people I haven't even told about it. I wonder if my site is some kind of daily routine, too. New on the record player: Set yourself on fire - by STARS » posted at

April 14, 2005» Say what? After amost nine (9) years without seeing my family, I got the confirmation of my parents trip to the US with a big surprise: SISTER IS ALSO COMING. I couldn't have asked for more. It's like all those years of e-mails and instant messages are coming to an end, at least for two weeks. And I can't be any happier. I better get busy here with my remodeling project(s). I'd like to make it official in this post, too: I"M GETTING MARRIED. AGAIN. BUT WITH THE ONE I REALLY LOVE. MY JENNY! » posted at

April 11, 2005April 06, 2005» Sin CityI read this comic book (the first) when I was still in Brazil (about 8 years ago). I own two copies of it, not to mention quite a few comics, also by Frank Miller. So when I heard back in January, the source writer would also be directing (the movie) with Robert Rodriguez, I was thrilled! This hardly ever happen: 2 directors and a guest director (Tarantino). It did cost Mr. Rodrigues his position on the Director's Guild, but then, who cares? He doesn't need help to make crappy movies... » posted at

For the size of this thing (1/35), he's really detailed. This is the only M.a.K. figure that came already painted and put together. This order, at first was a mistake, since I'm getting the 1/20 scale models, but after taking a closer look, I think not. There are two more models caming from Singapore: a H.A.F.S Jerry (Series: 10 Heavy Armored Fighting Suit) and another S.A.F.S MK1 (Series: 04 Super Armored Fighting Suit). Then I'm done (for now). Next it will have to be the Vol. 1 MA.K Chronicle & Encyclopedia » posted at

April 05, 2005» Not bad for a Monday night
Not to mention, we played without a drummer. Palisades did their 70's cute rock (they're getting sooo good), and I was too tired to stay till the end. It was a really crazy day for me, starting at St. Mark's at 4:00Am then going to the office downtown for some translation work at 2:30Pm, and finally to the bar, for the show...at 8:00Pm. Did I say Monday? » posted at

April 02, 2005» CD Recording - Fase 01We spent the entire morning recording the drums for Josh's new album. After months of rehearsal and a few misleading dates, we are at the beginning of a long process for our new EP. I played like crap, but thank God to a wonderful thing called "over dubbing", it won't matter, next Saturday I'll start the bass sessions. More photos here
