» The Adelphia Commercial

Last week I've been contacted by Greg, a location scout for a national production company, to see if St. Mark's (my work) would be available for a commercial shooting. After going back and forth, in between Jenny and The Boss Man (Eric), we closed the deal for Thursday afternoon. Shooting started at 1:00PM and didn't end 'till 5:00PM. The premises: The commercial was for Adelphia High Speed Internet, the idea was to compare internet dial up connection to something really slow or lame. Also to create a new slang, well sort of. Anyway, so a line was created to get coffee, it goes out the door. It's supposed to be taking forever. Two girls (actresses) complain using the frases: Girl # 1: This place is soooo dial up... Girl # 2: Yeaaaah... - note that these frases were said in the most obnoxious way possible, like, if you open your mounth one more time lady, I'm gonna punch you! - Not to mention, this went on pretty much for the whole afternoon. CUT! said the director, let's do it again: This place is soooooooooo dial up... Good Lord! Get me out of here! Here is the shot from the camera (or how it's going to look like):

And here are some pics of the whole ordeal:

» And we are back!

Yeah! We are online! - If you were wondering what happened to Zerogerman.com in the last few days, worry no more. We had to change our hosting company, which made the site go off line for a while. Thank you Carmela!

Anyway, I've been reading Mig's blog: Metamorphosism since last summer. Great writing! (I mean, funny) My favorite posts, are the ones written by Mig's turtle, which are full of profanity and hilarious herp factoids...I took the liberty of compiling the best three here, for your amusement (warning, crude language):

» First night in the West Side

Tuesday was the longest day of my life. Three houses moved in 11 hours. First, it was mine. Then Michael Flanders' to my apartment on Ogden St., then Jenny's. Things are finding their places...some are just sitting in storage. Jenny's house is put together. Yesterday I made a temporary living room in my house (till the new hard wood floors get put in) and an office space. We cooked breakfast and dinner in the new kitchen, and I moved piles and piles of old carpet and trash to the alley way...(more on Jenny's blog) What a beautiful morning this Thursday:

» Our first party in the new House

Good Lord! I'm pooped. We got the keys of our new house yesterday night. So much work...so much got done. I have to say that we have wonderful friends, too. Without them it would've been imposible to get where we are right now, with the repairs. It was a lovely day at the VILLA today (a bit cold, though). We finished with the carpets (25 year old rags, perhaps) and started the painting. We even had a BBQ outside, despised the frigid weather. Thank you Sam, Stacey and Kevin, Harlen and Zakk...not to mention Nils (rhymes with pills) and Nick. And of course, Trish.

» This is why you should whatch your kids:

I seriously doubt Harry was thinking (about Germany, or anything really). Perhaps he thought he was going to be the ballsiest man in the party. Or the funniest. It's known that the English have a different approach to holocaust era. We know about Fawlty Towers and we just think: That's just British humour...but c'mon. I'm laughing here. I'm laughing AT Harry. HAHAHAHA, you stupid freaking kid! Not to mention the ties of certain members of his family (the Windsors), of German origin, with the Nazi regime. The whole thing is just retarded. Yep, that's history alright: the underlying attitudes in British society. The whole story

» The last week...

So it's set (and almost done). I'll be leaving the house on 1021 Ogden, this Tuesday, the 18th. I'm really nervous to make the move to the new house on the West Side. Closing is tomorrow afternoon, and the carpet tearing party starts tomorrow night. On Saturday we'll paint most of the inside of the houses. I feel very uneasy for the fact that I'll be moving in the middle of all the repairs. It's a big deal. Well, I can only hope things will go smooth. Right now stressing over a bare floor is just stupid, but I feel out of my confort zone, not to mention I got a freaking cold this week. I want to make Jenny less stressed, too. Soon! Soon, things will get back to normal. Highlands: Here I come! So long Capitol Hill.

All packed up!
