» Italian Sausage Pies

Ah...my first day off in a while. I had to stop at the hardware store to get some screws for my bass guitar, so on my way back, I ended up at the grocery store thinking about dinner. Hummmm! I saw some nice italian sausages at the meat department...and tara ta ta! I had a great idea:

RECIPE (well, sort of)

4 italian sausages (without the skin), \1/2 onion, 1 celery stock, garlic (as much as you want), 1 potato, 2 carrots, 3 broccoli florettes, 7 raw mushrooms, 1/2 yellow bell pepper, 1/2 pound of mozzarella cheese (sliced), parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, 2 pie crusts (deep dish pie shells), fresh oregano and a six pack of beer of your choice. I think that's it.

Make pork gravy with 1 sausage: a little butter and flour, milk and spices (if you're confused follow this link). Pre-cook the other 3 sausages with the onion, celery and the bell pepper on a frying pan. Also, don't forget to pre-cook the carrots and the potatoes, which you should cut in cubes. Slice the mushrooms and the brocolli. When everything is ready. Just put all in the pie shells, including the gravy:

Cover the whole pie with the mozzarella cheese and the parmesan cheese. Put some oregano leaves on top, cause it looks cute...:

AH! DON"T FORGET THE BEER:

Pre-heat the oven at 400o degrees and cook for 20 minutes. And you're done...And all it took me, was 15 minutes to get it prepared. Not to mention I made 2 pies for under U$15.00 dollars.

The two pies should feed 4 people. If you would like to pig out, one pie is definitely enough. Bon Appetite!!! I am tonight, a happy man...
