» Mellow Tuesday

We went fishing yesterday. It was beautiful. At the Chatfield reservoir. God! The fish were huge. But we didn't catch anything. Carp is a very difficult fish to catch... It was a terrific time anyway. I bought Prince's new album yesterday also. I can stop listening to it. Musicology

» Busy July

Super busy, I should say...July 9th we play with Thank God for the Astronauts and Porlolo at the Lion's Lair. July 11th is the premiere of my movie at the Thin Man. July 20th we play at the Thin Man with Josh Novak in an acoustic set up. July 24th we will be at the Hi-Dive with George & Caplin. Pretty cool isn't it?

» Gourmet Gio

Ah! The joy of cooking. Not the famous book, but the actual joy of spending the whole afternoon cooking. That's right. I'm cooking lots of things, so I can put them in the freezer, for later consumption. Just like the old days at the Toninelo House. Well, today we started with crab cakes (one of Jena's favorites), and then a butternut squash and crab bisque. Since I had so much crab meat (on sale at the neighborhood supermarket), I had to make both. Jena went to Fort Collins spend the afternoon and took my camera. So unfortunately
I'm not taking pictures of this. Then some hamburger patties, and if I finish all before Star Trek Enterprise (re-run) at 7:00PM, I will attempt to make pesto, using some herbs from my garden. All this while I surf the net. I can't complain, can I?

» Nothing to report

It rained for a week. I'm serious. I think the dry summer predicted by all, is actually not happening anymore. The grass is greener than ever. And the city of Denver looks pretty clean. I watched Vanilla Sky last night. I saw the previews a few years back, but I had no idea what the movie was about 'till last night. The sci-fi ending was a surprise. It came out of no where. And honestly, I should've seen it coming. Somehow, I wish the ending was different. But after all, it wasn't bad. Much better than Stranded, which I tried watching last friday night. A spanish sci-fi production. Good God! It just blows...

» Holly shit

Yahoo! That's what I said this morning when accessing my Yahoo Mail account. Instead of the lame 6MB of storage, we now got 100MB. And better yet, attachments got as big as 10MB. Not to mention that Yahoo Mail comes with a Norton anti-virus built in for attachment scanning. I know it doesn't compare to the 1000MB from G-Mail, or either it has a search built in...But for now, I'm sticking with Yahoo.

» Thank God it's over

This week just sucked. I'm so tired man...Had to transplant my tomatoes out of the cage. They weren't getting enough sunlight. They now stand at the front porch in a couple of pots. With two days in the new spot, you can already notice a lot of improvements. So I did a little research and found out that spinach likes darker places and damp soil. We are going to grow spinach, dude...he...he...
I also have another project to get started. A little antique desk that Jena gave me for Valentine's day last year. The poor thing is so scratched up...Right now I only got the new knobs ordered. I was going to work on it today, but decided to take it easy.
Cool thing we did yesterday afternoon, was to go to the Jazz in the Park Series, for a picnic. I got out of work at 6:30PM, had a beer at the "Thin Man" and we made our way to the park. The band was the worst, but we had a good time...

» Party at Gio's place

It was a super friday. It started with a long conversation with my mom. I actually wanted to speak with my sister Carmela, but she was out...After working all afternoon, we played a 45 min. show at the anarchist bookstore Breakdown. 30 people came to see us. Strange little place, though. And after that, we had a little get together at my new place. My first party...he...he...Even Miss Cathy from Porto Rico showed up.

» My new garden

Not being satisfied enough with the new house, I took on a new project yesterday afternoon. It costed me $38.00 dollars. Three tomato plants and some herbs: Oregano, thyme, rosemary and basil. I had to build a cage for the tomatoes, 'cause we have a lot of squirrels. They like to eat tomatoes...those little shits.

» A hell of a week

Oh man, it is so nice to be home...ALONE. Clean house, a ribeye steak on the grill and of course internet time. We played last night our first show with Josh Novack. Super cool. A lot of people showed up, and all I could hear after was: Damn, you guys are really good!. Got some pics up on the photolog. I also decorated my office:

I'm sure it will change as time goes by and my work load increases. I need some sleep.

» I'm all moved in

It's all over. The move went smooth. The house is still a mess, though. At least the worst is over. Chris and Eli came to help yesterday, and everything went really fast. We even had enough time to go get a new fridge for the old house. Got talking with Eli on the phone yesterday afternnon, and I think he may be moving out too. I guess he got a little knot on his stomach after seeing me leave. He's a good friend. Anyway, Jena and I spent the first night in the new house together. The bed situation in the loft must change. I'm scared of falling...Well, I got a new house, my sister got a new dog, how about you Maria Helena? I want to see more postings...
