» the mustache

I've been trying to grow a goatee for almost a week now. So I was at work yesterday and Anthony, one of mine co-workers, was making fun of it. So we decided on a bet. We both will grow mustaches (no beards, or goatees), and the last one to shave it off will get the pile of money. Well, $5.00 a piece. Well, as it turned out, Michael and Eddy also joined us. We have $20.00 at stake now. Anthony was trying to get Eric (my boss) to join in too. I think we may change the name of the business to St. Mark's Mustache House!

» Since you asked

Was it good to watch my movie in a big screen? I can't answer that, since half of the movies were left out (perhaps I should say some of them). That includes mine. A new date is to be announced for the screening of "The one eyed man". Yeah, I'm really bummed out. Pretty said isn't it? I think Rick Muriby, Mathew Hurley and James Johnson own me a huge apology. But enough of sad things. I already cried about it. I already spent the weekend cursing names.
Well, yesterday I got the keys for my new house!!! Super. So, I spent my afternoon today, painting the new bathroom. (see photogerman). The house has a few issues, I have a lot of work to do. But it'll be fine. And it's all mine.

» Oh, Boy!

It was a mess. A big one. The Inflatable Film Festival of 2004, was the most disorganized event I was ever part of. Things just didn't work. Movies didn't get played, movies were even late, (the movies didn't get there 'till 9:30PM, note that the festival was supposed to start at 8:00PM). I wanted to have my movie in this small festival, because last year's selection (2003) was a blast. Good movies, an awesome atmosphere and fairly organized crew. This year, I was embarrassed.
Anyway, got some pics at the photolog (photogerman). I'm tired, and I hungry. It was a long weekend.

» Ai caramba

I didn't do shit yesterday. Beside trying to upload my movie to my sister's server, my day was filled with D-day documentaries, pizza and Pepsi. Ok. And a lot of video game playing. I did my laundry, though. Talking about my movie, tonight is the night. I really don't know what to expect. I'm just so excited to see it in a big screen! Yeah!

» Cruising around

We spent the entire afternoon thrift shopping yesterday. Since I'm moving out, I wanted to get a few things for the new house. I ended up buying a lamp and a whole lot of wooden sculptures, small ones. It was a great day. We drove a lot and had a lot of food, too. Hummmm! ...food! I'm getting kind of hungry again.

» So it's here

The grand premiere. Sunday, 23rd of May, 2004. I can't believe it. I got talking with one of the organizers yesterday, and my movie was picked from 28 other movies to be part of the selection of 12, for this edition of the "Inflatable Duck Film Festival". He also had great things to say about it. Well, I got what I wanted. Just to get in the festival. Anything else would be surprisely fantastic!

» Rain drops falling on my yard

Well, it's been raining here too. Denver is weird. It could be 90 degrees and sunny, and in one minute it could go to 35 degrees and rainy. We need the moisture, though.
Cory and Deirdre will be taking my room at the old house once I move out. Cory just got back from France. Dirdre is finishing theater school. It makes me happy to have a girl move in, so my yard could get some attention once I leave.
I also talked to the maintenance guy at the management company who takes care of my new house, and I'll probably be able to paint and fix the bathroom there, before I move in. I'm thinking green. Perhaps, "Macromedia Green"....

» My mom is a blogger

Marking the passage of Mothers Day 2004, is the first post of my mom. That's right, she has a weblog: malena. It's really nice to have another blog to go visit (I usually go see my sister at meltoni.com). Especially when you care so much about them. I love you both!

» It's the end for FLex

I've been discontent with Flex Luther for a while. So finally last night I decided to quit. Yeah, it's over. I feel a little sad, 'cause we had some really good times in the past. But the lack of enthusiasm, and the slow process of song writing just overwhelmed the good things. Besides we had two practices a week, and that takes a lot of effort from my part, since I don't have many nights off. I think I am in good terms with Brian, Pete and Dale. I hope them the best. Seriously. As for me, who knows what's next. Playing with Josh Novack is only temporarily...so I think I'll get back to my solo stuff with time.

» World of news

So the deal was made. One year lease, and they through in the back yard as a bonus. Yeah! I got a back yard too. It's gonna be great. I got so many projects to finish but now with three weeks before I move to the new house, I don't feel like doing anything. Especially at this house were I'm at right now.
Adidas has created the world's first smart shoe. It sounds great. So what's next? Smart underwear? How about a smart bra? That could adjust to the size of your bubbies, make them bigger or smaller, perhaps like Kristanna Lokenn's on Terminator T3. That would be even better...he...he...

» That was easy...

I thought it was going to take weeks. But we spent the entire Tuesday looking for apartments and houses...some big, some small, some really expensive, some really dirty places. But I found my new home. It is a house divided in four apartments, mine being the one on the first floor. The big one. The location couldn't be better: 1021 Ogden St.. Grocery stores, bars, laundrymats and a neighborhood that is alive 24 hours a week.

Friday I'll sign the lease agreement. And I'll get my keys at the end of this month. I need to get my shit together and start packing some of my stuff. I also need to start working on a cell phone and switch the bills at the old house to Eli's name.
If that wasn't enough good news, Jena spoke with one of the organizers of the Inflatable Duck Film Festival yesterday. MY MOVIE GOT IN !!! Yeah !!!

I bet you think this post is just as any other one here. Well, it is. The only difference is that this one was made through a wi-fi connection. I'm going wireless. I'm actually at work sipping coffee. Next step will be my telephone. Since I'm moving to a new house and I don't have to share internet or phone bills with Eli, I figured it was time to take a step to the cool world of convenience. Mobility here I come!

» I broke my record

I can't stop playing Real War: Rogue States. It's not the greatest real-time strategy game (like Warcraft II) but it keeps you entertained and wanting more. I actually had a dream about it last night. What's wrong with me, man...
I almost forgot I had rehearsal with Josh (Novack) this afternoon. It went pretty well. His songs are solid and quite interesting.

I'm really excited. I haven't played in a rock band, since Telesonique. And I'm not really sure were Flex Luther is going. Besides, it seems I can't sit on my ass for to long without picking up another project.
