» bitchy mood

All this buzz about DJ Danger Mouse's Grey Album is making me sick. Sure, I agree with not letting major labels prevent a work of art of being made, and not letting them monopolize the way we listen to music...but pleeeease!!!!...The album sucks. And the fact that we are using this particular album as our flag (me, being a musician, too)... embarrasses me.

» SNOW...ehh....just a little bit

People love Denver's weather. Warm and sunny during summer, Fairly warm, and a little snow, here and there, during winter. Well, I HATE IT. Give me a storm. Give me enough snow to make a snowman. And at least another two days (of cold weather), so the "iceman" will not melt so fast. I should not be complaining. We got snow. Two inches... ehhhh.

» "Kick it up a notch!"

We had band practice last night. Actually, more recording, than practice. One more day. Monday it will be. So after the whole ordeal, I was really hungry. I had bought some tortellinis the other day, and I was too lazy to make a sauce. So I ended up buying, out of curiosity Emeril's™ Vodka Pasta Sauce . It looks funny. But it tastes like nothing I tried before. I swear. A little parmesian cheese, and some garlic bread.....Uuuummmmm! I ate so much, I had to sleep sideways...

» Too much coffee (ethics among poor musicians part 1)

Man, "8" cups of coffee, and it's only 10:30AM....I need some water.
So I put an add at "the denver message board", advertising my PEAVEY Bass Combo. Since I got a new AMPEG and GALLIEN-KRUGER head and cabinet, I really didn't need another bass amp. This guy called me up last week, and we set a meeting up this morning. He loved it. He bought it. But here is the problem...he wanted to pay with a check. I don't know him...But I still believe in ethics among poor musicians...and I sold him the bass rig for a check from Colorado Springs. I hope his word (and check) are worth the $200.00 dollars.

» Yeah! It's wednesday

I like wednesdays. I have chores to do and errands to run on wednesdays. My favorite show on TV is on wednesday (Enterprise). It was a beautiful day in Denver. The best part: I don't have to work on wednesdays!!!!

» I'm full on back!

It's been a while. I guess I was just tired of my old layout. Not that this one is any good. God Damned tags! I wish I was a better "coder". So pretty much, I spent the whole afternoon down here in the basement. I wanted to get this blog done so hard, that I even had KFC for lunch (well, a half a block from my house...). Really bad. I hate chicken...what was I thinking? The mashed potatoes were good, though. Anyway, went to the movies last night. I saw "Big Fish". I must confess....I cried. Really cute movie. Made me think of my dad a whole lot. Hey, I miss you man!!!! On the way back, I took this picture:

We have a party here at the house tonight. So much for being alone...See you tomorrow!
